Shooting Star Hotel & Casino,
Mahnomen, Minnesota


As Opening Manager for the Shooting Star Hotel, Casino & Convention Center, Jeff Jasperson lead the team through construction phase & hotel opening along with 3 expansions over a 9 year period. Today, after 24 years of succesful operation, the property remains a premier destination center of the region.

 

 

Seven Clans Hotel, Casino & Indoor Waterpark,
Thief River Falls, Minnesota


150 rooms, fully-themed, 40,000 sq ft. indoor waterpark along with 2 on-site restaurant concepts, opened in 2000.

 

Completed due diligence to secure 22 million in financing, supervised all phases of construction, procurement of all related FF & E while professionally training all levels of administration and staff to open this beautiful concept.

 

Highlights include, paying off the loan with-in 5 years of opening the doors!

 

 

Canad Inns Destination Center,
Grand Forks, North Dakota


The Canad Inns is a 220,000 square foot, 192-room hotel complex attached to the City Owned Alerus Center, indoor sports arena/convention center.

This project was the Canadian hotel chain’s first facility in the United States. The hotel led the Grand Forks market with 'first of its kind' purpose built indoor water park, including 3 unique restaurant concepts, in-house gaming and much more. Working with a Canadian Entrepenuer, Jeff Jasperson successfully opened the hotel on time and under budget, ultimately creating a true destination center.

 

 

GrandStay Hotel & Suites,
Thief River Falls, Minnesota


55 Unit, 3 story Prototype for GrandStay Hospitality's growing brand.

 

Assisted Ownership with procurement of a developer/brand selection and became the contracted Management Company.

 

Led the ownership through construction, design & procurement, and hiring & traing of all professional staff. Successfully opened this hotel on-time and under budget on January 15th, 2014.

 

 

Microtel Inn & Suites,
Moorhead, Minnesota


77 Unit, 4 story Prototype for Wyndham's Microtel Brand.

 

When JLJ joined this project, mid-construciton, it was 4 months behind their proposed opening date. Worked with General Contractor, Construciton Superintendent & subcontractors to bring the project back back on schedule, while managing procurement, hiring staff & securing operational vendors. Thankfully, the hotel opened on time, with-in the owner's expectation and is now a profitable hotel.
